Seasonal Food
As with many places around the world, the food in this part of Europe is seasonal. In March, it's asparagus time.
Keep a look out for the asparagus signs near CERN. There is a farm on the far side of the fields east of Atlas that sells fresh cut asparagus in the spring. Incredible flavor! Just follow the signs. They have regular sized stalks and ones that are pencil thin. In June, you will begin to see apricots, peaches and nectarines.

October is “chasse” (hunting) season – and the only season you will see wild boar and deer in the meat section.

Thanksgiving
In October and November you can order fresh, whole turkey for Thanksgiving from your butcher a few days in advance. Check our detailed list - where to buy supplies.
