One of the wonders of dining in this area is that the food is fresh and seasonal. October / November is “chasse” (hunting) season – and the only time you will see wild boar and deer on restaurant menus. Freshly picked asparagus begins to appear in March, strawberries and rhubarb arrive in April, and in June you will begin to see apricot, peach and nectarine tarts on the menu. In other words, there's loads of variety!
